What is Zapstore?
Zapstore is an open-source Android app store built on Nostr, the open, decentralised network. Developers publish and sign their own releases, so the app you install is the one its developer released; Zapstore’s own account also indexes many open-source apps from their repositories.
Anyone can run and curate a catalogue, and you choose whose to trust. You can tip developers directly with Bitcoin Lightning “zaps”. No account is needed to install apps.
How to get Zapstore
- 1 Download the Zapstore APK on the Android device, from zapstore.dev or its GitHub releases.
- 2 Open it and allow your browser to install unknown apps when Android asks.
- 3 Open Zapstore, search for an app and install it; no account needed.
