What is Snap Store?
The Snap Store distributes apps as snaps: self-contained packages that update automatically. It is run by Canonical, the company behind Ubuntu.
On Ubuntu it is the default source in the App Center; other distributions can add it.
How to get Snap Store
- 1 On Ubuntu it is already there: open the App Center.
- 2 On other distributions, install snapd following the guide for your distribution.
- 3 Install apps with “snap install <app>”.
