The App Store is Apple’s app store for iPhone and iPad. Apple reviews every app before it is listed, and handles payments, subscriptions and updates.
In the EU, iPhone apps can also come from alternative app marketplaces, but for most people the App Store is where iPhone and iPad apps come from.
